going to borrow a engine support bar from @shownomercy tomorrow morning and start the oil pan gasket process.

pan is out. everything looks good. also water pump may have been leaking a hair. opti and wp drive seal replaced. reassemble tomorrow and swap motor mounts

You always amaze me with the amount of work you get done so quickly. Wish I could get things accomplished at your speed. I'm normally slow because age is catching up with me and currently temperatures (100+) with heat indexes in the hundred and teens got me moving slower than snail shit.

this escapade 97% finished. phew. today got started on putting the poly motor mounts in. while doing that the engine support bar shifted a little and we had to stop what we were doing, jack the motor up by the balancer and reset the engine support bar.

got the motor mounts in, oil pan back on (funny thing i didnt check the part number and just bought what fit a lt1, felpro gray showed up, same as the original lol, i usually get blue)

front end of engine reassembled. one of the ati T55Plus bolt heads stripped, so had to r&r as one, which meant a bit of a headache and stress (remember the balancer bolt fiasco??)

K-member wanted to fight a little too, but got that back up as well. Waiting till the O/D shows up Wednesday to fill the coolant system and also waiting on another moroso oil filter (but the one that was there was only like 250 miles old, hmmmm)

back to work tomorrow, was a fun stay-cation project

I've wondered about this before when I have seen motors being supported at the balancer... Is there not a chance the bend the crank?

Did I give you my last Moroso filter? If not I should have one in the garage. I can gimp out with my cane and look for it….. 3 weeks after the hip replacement….. Been driving for a week though.
