LT1 ticking
I've searched the entire internet.1997 WS6 90k miles on car. Not original engine don't know the history. I've had it 2 years and am sick of it already. Never does it cold. Only when hot and it is intermittent. No lights on. Great oil pressure. It's not plugs or wires. Cam is good just put in new GM123 lifters so that's not. it sounds the exact same as the old lifters. Pushrods are straight rockers look good not rubbing valve covers or spring keepers. Does it with the accessories belt of. Tried 10/30 oil that didn't change it. all the rockers are getting oil. Prominent on passenger side #4 cylinder with a stethoscope. Thanks for any suggestions.

Did you remove the alternator to intake bracket?
I have similar after my cam swap and it seems to be the alternator bouncing a little.95 Mystic Z28, 17x9 FR, 17x11 RR ZR-1's, Pacesetter LT's and Y-pipe, Borla adjustable, Moroso CAI, 2800 Stall, AC Delete, and Cracked Dash/broken lid Mod.

sounds like exhaust leak either exhaust manifold has a small crack or the exhaust manifold bolt on #4 broke
