Looks like a drum but doesn't have the typical purple hue I normally see. Sweet Lips they're also referred to as. @joelster, I KNOW you've been fishing man, talk about it.

I haven't been out much. The water levels are dangerously low everywhere. I've landed a few bass and carp here and there but nothing big.

Really? Just not enough rain or something else going on? We haven't gotten much rain here at all and our pond is super low right now, and EVERYTHING is just stagnant water it seems.

The streams are very low and the water temps are very high. If you fish for trout you'll kill them when you land them, they'll expend all of their energy and they won't recover. Ponds are full of algae, etc, etc. I need a damn boat so I can go fish the big lakes!

Was fishing for steelhead and/or browns when this guy SLAMMED the lure. 12 minutes and 15,000 head shakes later, he was in the net. Contrary to popular belief, Kings in the creeks will eat and strike a lure. Landed on my Lehigh Fishing Company one-piece 6'6" med/fast rod, "The Dam", with 8lb mono
