Sort of New to Forum, but not so new to the LT1!
I'm Steve Devillier and I've been around the LT1 since 1995. I had one of the first ProCharger kits for the LT1 (P600B) and became friends with engineer that designed it at the time Paul Yaple (spelling?). I installed the kit prior to the installation manual being complete and assisted Paul with some refining of the installation manual. He later started referring customers to me to assist with installs and I later became a distributor for ProCharger. Anyway,it was a great time to get some HP in a car, after the 1980's and early 1990's were producing cars with 200 HP or less. Over the years I've help on to the 1995 TransAm and have had several LT1 F-bodies and one Impala SS along the way. I currently have the TransAm and a 1995 Z28 with 76mm Precision Turbo. I love the LT1 and power adders! I was associated and recently attended the Nati onal F-Body Motorsports Event. It's a smaller event to has drag racing, road racing , Auto X and car show. I'm very interested in attending the LTX Event. Could someone give me an Itinerary for the timing of events and the sort, so I know how to reserve rooms, since I would be traveling from Louisiana. I wanted to post to the proper Forum for LTX 2016, but since I have not been on the list recently, it would not allow me to post.
Thanks for any assistance and hopefully I can meet many of you if I can make the event.

Thanks to all for the welcome messages. I've worked on many Lt1's over the years, but learn something new almost every time!
Let me know if I can help anyone, I'm sure I'll need help and advice from time to time also.

Thanks for the update! My Turbo car is down with two bad pistons and a cracked block, but the ProCharged TransAm is running. The ProCharged car has a motor I bought from a wrecked car and has a totally wrong cam for boost. My trailer is also being used at the present time, but if all the stars align I'm going to try to make the event. Looks like a good time.
Thanks,

I actually have a cam if you want something to get it going. It was out of a golen 383. 214/224 .531/.568 115LSA. I've also got a block you can borrow

The shootout is a great time. I hope you are able to make it in some capacity. It's a small group, tight knit. Everyone is competitive but not to the point we wouldn't loan you parts off our own car to keep you going. It almost feels like more of a private track rental day with friends than an event.Chris

Chris,
Thanks so much for the kind offer! The TransAm has a cam in it and it's able to run, just not a supercharger application. It will probably run mid 11's to high 10's depending on how much boost I throw at it, so it's fast enough to have fun. I can tell by the responses that this group is a great group, everyone willing to help. My biggest problem currently is getting my carhauler back to make the trip. It's a long story, but the short of it is my father in-law recently passed away and my mother in-law is wanting to sell her home and move into something smaller. My enclosed trailer has become a storage unit while she prepares her home for sale and then moves into a new home. Not sure when this will take place and free up the trailer! May just ride down for the experience or convince another local LT1 guy to bring his car. I'm part of another small/similar group of LT1 enthusiast F-body National Event and it appears both groups have the same type of people/ good people! The other group was around when the cars first appeared on the market and many have since departed with their F-body/LT1, but the event is more or less "run what you brung" and the parking lot festivities is as much fun as the track. They have evolved to doing more road coarse and auto x these days, but I can't turn left or right, unless it's on the return lane! I'm a drag racer! Hopefully things work out and I can make it. My turbo motor is going in the shop next week, I doubt it will be ready in time. I've become disabled with back problems recently, so my ability to wrench is limited these days. The days of parking lot rebuilds and all nighters is no longer an option for me. I'm more the slow and steady route these days!01d9733e07a11ca6f8ba3ee24923feac9af19e3dc5_00001.jpg
I forgot to mention, I still have a few LT1 blocks laying around!
