    I asked if the filter was 3/4 quart and the response was "probably"

    It is listed as a 6qt. pan. Some get it confused with another Canton with close to the same part number that is 7qts. Others, including myself had windage issues if filled to 6qt. capacity and used 5qts instead. That was with the oversized filter.

    That's what I did... hasn't blown up yet.

    With the oversized filter I used 5.5 qts as suggested by those who had to reduce the capacity because of Canton's crappy windage tray.

    I have the same Canton pan and I always used 6 qts total, but I used the Mobil 1 filter. I filled the filter and poured the rest in.
    Now you all have me questioning myself....
    93 Z28, 383, PI 3200, Strange 12 bolt, 3.73, Strange coilovers, suspension, and going 24X... for three years or so.

    I don't remember exactly how much oil I put in mine, but I am running that pan with a truck filter and no oil cooler. I am pretty sure I had about 6.5-7qts total when full, but I don't remember exactly. I'll let ya know in a couple weeks lol.
