timing marks
Some body tell me how to set my timing in a 94 lt1.I have argued with some people helping with my build.Is it dot to dot?Or is it top dot 12 oclock and bottom dot 12 oclock.Some body help me?

top dot 6 o'clock bottom 12 o'clock.....aka dot to dot

Dot to dot or both at 12 o' clock, either one works on an LT1. You can't align the opti 180 degrees out if the marks are wrong like on a SBC (unless you force it).

The dot to dot is easier for me. You can tell there perfectly aligned and not off a tooth vs the both at 12 o'clock position.
Like noted above, unless you force the opti on by not lining up the spline or the cam pin it's gonna be in perfect timing no matter the position of the timing chain. As long as you put he chain on correctly.
