    Default Questions about headers

Well as you can see we started the LT header install. Along with Hooker Supercomp's we are adding ORY, Magnaflow cat-back, Comp Magnum 1.6 RR's, March underdrives, and a K&n FIPK. We're also fixing a couple issues by replacing the plugs, wires, a couple sensors, starter, and PS pump. It's quite a project but at least it occupies my time while I look for another job.

My question is about tuning. The car was bone stock before this and I know we will need a good tune to optimize the bolt-on's. Would it be best for me to look for a local tuner to do a custom tune or can I use a hand held? Also the car is a 96 so it has 4 O2 sensors. Should I buy sims for the aftercat O2's or can they be tuned out? It seems like a waste of money if a tuner can get around it. Does anyone either tune or know of a tuner in northern illinois?

I dont know of any shops off hand in northern Illinois, but if you have no luck finding any.. Try giving Alvin @ PCMforless a call or e-mail for a mail order tune. They do great work over there.

X2 for PCMforless. I'm sure Bryan has a tune exactly for your mods.

As far as the rear two 02's. Just get them tuned out. I'm not 100% sure but I don't even think you need sims if you just have them tuned out.

Sim if you dont tune it, no need for them if you do tune it.

I'd just run a mail order tune from PCM4Less or MadZ28. The rear 02's can be tuned out no problem
