Headers
Finally ordering headers this week to fix the nasty exhaust leak I have. I was completely on board to buy Pacesetter Longtubes (http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...ders-painted-/) and a Pacesetter Y pipe (http://www.streetsideauto.com/p/pace...FZIWHwodMHUBXg) for a total of $410
After looking a little deeper online, apparently these are terrible headers and rust out almost immediately. So Im now back on my quest to find some decent headers/y piper for <$500. I found this (https://www.texas-speed.com/p-4495-t...t1-f-body.aspx) with the optional y pipe and o2 extensions. Anyone use them and can vouch the quality? If not, does anyone have any suggestions for sub $500 headers with y pipe and o2?

The paint is for shipping purposes only and will burn off very quickly. You can get coated ones for a little more. The coating isalright and can last a while depending on where you live and if the car sees winters.
Stay away from those TSPs, they are no better than typical eBay junk.
If you want a stainless header than go with these: http://shop.huronspeedproducts.com/X...tem-xsplt1.htm
There's a huge argument going on about whether or not these are identical to LPPs, but the stainless is the same and they're made here in 'murica.96 Z28 - ERE-383, AFRs, 9", Procharger D1, TermiX, etc.

Thanks for the help! Also on a related note, how would I go about passing emissions with that "offroad" y-pipe? In Pennsylvania if that helps.

It depends on your county and who you know.

You might be exempt depending on how frequent you drive it. @popo8 would be the guy to talk to about legality with that stuff. Also look at the PennDOT website for details. My county is exempt for testing but they are supposed to do a visual. ...lol

There are slight variences between counties in pa... however if u have a good relationship with the shop doing the inspection... amd do 4999 miles a year or less u are EXEMPT from emissions. However if u dont have that relationship... they may fail u on the visual as they will see that ur missing emissions equipt. Now u can always get long tubes with the emissions stuff and continue running cats amd that wont be an issue.

Check with our sponsors. @LPP sells exhaust however I have not looked to see about emissions friendly stuff. Gail from American-powerhouse and Josh from BDBracing are two other sponsors that may be able to help.
