Default With stock head what off the shelf cam would net. me the best E.T.

Hey Guys getting ready to do a cam swap. I know that this has been discussed a million times. But what I am looking for is the best cam with stock heads that would give me the best E.T. I don’t care about sound all I care about is that I would pass smog here in California. I know that a custom cam would be that way to go but for the sake of this discussion I would like to go with something of the shelf (for ease of tuning). I a leaning towards the crane 227 but have heard a lot of good thing about comp cams 503 and 305. Any Advice would be greatly apreciated.

    i believe i posted on Ls1tech

the Lpe 211/219 is a very nice cam with great power has worked for many years from TPI days on up its low duration and higher lift on a 112 is really a nice smooth cam with a real soft lope at idle.
i also like the cc503 it has a larger lope at idle but overall gives about the same power as the 211/219.
there are a few other cams to look at too, such as
    cc 227/233
    cc 230/236

It also depends on what gears you're running. with those 3.89 gears you have, you can get away with going bigger, like LE's 223/230 or AI's 230/238.
