Default Making some progress on the 383 combo after 5 years!

I was finally able to make some progress on my car after it sitting since Jan 2008. I pulled my old 355 combo out and sold it for the new 383 build. I got everything done and had the th400 trans rebuilt while it was out and put it back in the car in Oct 2010. I went through a series of life stuff and lost interest in getting the combo done (mainly was tired of spending money on the car) and was waiting on a spot in my local chassis shop to open up so I could get the needed fab work completed before I could move any further finishing the car. I needed fab work to cut the cowl/hood, cut the bottom of the car for header fitment, found out I needed a new #3 tube made as the plug clearance was not enough to get a plug in the head, vacuum pump fitted with fitting welded on the valve covers, throttle cable fabbed up for the 4 bbl tb, coil mounted, went with a madman torque arm to clear the dual 3.5" y-pipe, running FAST XFI harness through the firewall, and lots of other misc little stuff. Anyway, below are some pics of the progress. I hope to have the car back by the end of Aug and start rewiring the car before finally firing it up and tuning it in N/A. Goal is somewhere in the mid 10's NA and mid to low 9's on the bottle depending on the shot size.

Thanks, it has been a long long time since I have been into the car scene.
No times with the new combo...old 355 LT1 from 2001 went 11.44@118mph NA 1.579and 10.35@129 on the 150 shot 1.42 60ft, 10.2@133 on a 200 shot 1.59 60ft with a slower 60 ft. Race weight of 3650. I hope to run 1 sec quicker with the new combo but will need to dial in the new combo...trying to run a pump gas tune as I street drive this car and have no tow vehicle. I need to get a lot of wiring done before I can fire up the car and tune it in. I hope to get to the track this fall to get the motor dialed in before any spray.

Wow man... great work. That motor compartment pic is beautiful. Like opening a jewelry box with a big jewel in there!

    Thanks for the compliments!
It has been a while Lloyd. You spec'd the cam for this one if you can remember back to 08. Eric Bradby ported AFR220's, Accel Pro Ram EFI, 12.1-1 compression, comp 943's with a solid roller 259 267 @.050 .67x lift on a 108lsa. I can't wait to hear it fire up and get it dialed in.
