Pretty mild, 11:1. Ngk 55 I believe, but I will have to check. They were recommended by Lloyd Elliot when I did the swap.

Anything else that could be causing it? Too much fuel? I have not tuned it with a wide band, but that's my next step. I also cleaned my MAF, checked fuel pressure, checked for exhaust leaks again. Only thing I can think of is the collectors for my headers are leaking, but I have tried every material of gasket to stop the leak, and have taken them off and tightened the multiple times. It's not that bad, but who knows. My fear is desensitizing the sensor, and having real knock. The best I have in town is 91 octane unless I want to pay $10 a gallon for race gas. Which I definitely do not want to do

I have tried 2 knock sensors, 1 lt1 km and 1 lt4 km. Its not doing it at idle right now, but if I even touch the gas, it goes to max.

No, but I know some knock you can't hear. As with most people with a set up like this, it is pretty loud in general, I don't know how someone would hear pinging. A rod knock, yeah I could hear that, but pinging, no way. I have pulled a couple plugs and taken pics of them, they look normal.

Which would mean something is hitting something or something is loose etc is what that would lead me to believe. Free revving you should be getting no knock, knock occurs under load. Tune it down or out, tune by wideband if you have exhausted all options.

There is a possibility it could be a tune issue

Yeah, it does it with free reving. How common is it for people to tune it out or down? Kinda defeats the purpose of a knock sensor.

Maybe. I'm a good 200 miles from any reputable ltx tuners. I may have to bite the bullet and do it, or try working with Solomon so more.

No it doesnt, most are tuned down to 3 degrees, and you really only need it if ur tuned right for wot under load, and if ur tuned really good, you don't need it, as long as the conditions are correct, you use the correct fuel and don't skimp, and you tune in a slight safety factor. @MoeHorsePower can elaborate. Every lt1 I've had has had it turned down to 3 degrees.

KS doesn't do shit if you are modified and using a stock PCM. At least in LS1 PCM land you will constantly throw misfire codes. My tuner doesn't use it, but he datalogs it on pulls.
