I have a complete UMI suspension in my 96 T/A. And I had the EXACT problem you have. I checked everything 5X's. In the end I just loosened everthing pulled the trans over with a pry bar and tightened everything up. No problems drive wise since. Since then I've changed the torque converter and everything lines up. With all new poly mounts and after market suspension theres going to be some "error" in things lining up perfectly. I also have the UMI drive shaft loop and the holes in that were WAY off and had to "massage" them out to get it to fit. I love UMI products great quality for a great price that said even with a great product it is aftermarket and rarely do aftermarket parts fall right into place with out some sort of small adjustment.
