Lost interest in completing the build. Going with a C6 vette instead. Bought the short block from zohan with 700 miles on it. So the rods, crank, pistons have 700 miles on them. Had it taken apart to go with 4 bolt splayed mains and went ahead and replaced all the bearings, rings, the lifters, gaskets, etc. so the rotating assembly has 700 miles on it. Everything else has never been ran. Still having issue with photos while using my phone. I won't be back home until Monday. I could email or text pictures in the meantime though.

Nah I've got a 355 on the stand with all kinds of crap that needs assembled and I'd have a decent turbo engine. Only thing I'd like to do is maybe trade the 3.48" crank for a 3.75"

Hey sir. I know I am new here, but I have good feedback over at ls1tech on the same username. Would you consider splitting this setup, or are you only selling if you sell as a whole?

I did see that it was pretty dang old and figured I would get hit with a bringing a thread back from the dead post. I ripped apart my long block today because I was told the bottom end was forged when I got the car and wanted specs before I freshened it up and hit it with n2o in a couple weeks, only to find out it has an eagle cast crank. Now I am digging hard for a short block or a forged 383 crank.

Lol... ull have to dig back further than June to get ur stones busted for an old thread revival.

My first motor, I ordered on line from an ebay engine builder and I got conned for the same thing. Cast eagle crank that broke in 2 when everything was supposed to be forged... 2 bolt mains when it was supposed to have been splayed... machined amd bored block to be a 383... it was a 383, but amazing it made power as all the cylinders were out of round... what a mess.

Whats ur budget... im a member on a few LT sites... I can keep my eye out for u.

Why not tag this member as well. Maybe its still around.
