"TRUE CARBON FIBER" wrap...
For those not following my vette sales thread... i figured id post a thread specifically about the wrap.
Had the vette in to get detailed inside and out, and while it was there I asked if they could wrap the center console area around the shifter.
The plastic has a finish that does not age well and actually turns into a sticky plastic feel.
Wanted to make the car nice for the new owner so the guys at the shop said all they had in stock was their "true carbon fiber" wrap... i gave them the go ahead. (I love cf).
I think its s nice touch and looks good. Now i wanna do stuff in all my cars.

3M Di-noc. I have a ton of it and it looks and feels like CF.
1996 camaro Z28, Clayton racing 398, Rossler TH350 rmvb with brake, FTI billet race converter 4400, Dana S60 with 4.10's, 300 shot, Accel DFI controlled, UMI, Spohn, PA racing, QA1's, Baer brakes, 325/45/17 M&H, Caged, Corbeau's, Simpson, etc.
From zero to fuck yeah in 3 seconds.

3M Di-noc is as close to realistic look and texture Carbon Fiber available. DI-noc is a vinyl but has the weave texture. There are many styles of Di-noc, not limited to carbon fiber. You can cover anything with it. Seen appliances, cabinets etc. Tight corners or radius edges require their primer otherwise it is peal and stick and heat gun or hair dryer. Good stuff.

I actually thing I am going to have the shop cover everything that is in wood grain in the CF for a less "grampa" look.

That stuff looks good. I did all the stripes and Berger panel/rear valance with 4D carbon fiber vinyl.

^^That looks pretty neat on white. I think it would be nice to do CF vinyl versus the flat black on popo's Z28.
