Ok guys idk if it helps but the timing set is engine tech at least that's what my build sheet says

Depending on your setup either run that gear or a stock gm gear. It looks from the photo to me atleast is What caused that gear to look like that is someone using a steel hammer to "install" it on the crank. If the gear is still square and there is no abnormal wear on the teeth or chain i would say you can run it.
