RAFFLE for Fastbird's PT76GTS ENTIRE Turbo Kit
First, I want to offer a VERY sincere Thank You to all who participated and made this an amazing success. I have done my best to keep things fair for you as participants, and what you've given me is the over the hump bump I needed to get my Corvette completely paid off. That means MOUNDS to me, and the support of this community is why I will NEVER leave, whether or not I have an LTx in the garage. Thank you all.
Here is the video of the drawing and the announcement of our winner!!!!! And I apologize if I butched speaking some of the screen names.
Due to lack of interest, I'm trying a new way to sell the turbo kit from my car. A simple raffle.
Tickets are $35 for a single ticket, and $50 for two tickets, and $25 per ticket thereafter (3 for $75, 4 for $100, etc).
ONLY 100 TICKETS WILL BE SOLD.
A master list of participants and number of tickets sold to each person will be kept in this original post.
I will not be asking for any payments for tickets UNTIL we have at least 75 tickets sold.
After all tickets are sold and all money is collected, I will do one of two likely avenues for selecting a winner. 1, videotape the process of selecting the winner. I will type each persons name out for each ticket they purchased in MS Word and cut them out. They will all go into a bucket, be thoroughly mixed, and I will let one of my children select the winner from said bucket. This will ALL be on video to ensure legitimacy and that nothing shady is gong on. I want this to be as absolutely transparent as possible. Or, if everyone prefers, 2. I will use a third party independent service to do the selection (randompicker.com or the like). Buyers choice there.
After the winner is selected the turbo kit will be shipped asap.
On to the good stuff, the turbo kit. It's a kit built by Jon @ LT1Boost back in 2008-9. It's a mild steel 1 3/4" primary, 2 1/2" up pipe hot side, v-band connections everywhere. Has a JGS 50mm wastegate installed. Turbo itself is a Precision 76GTS T4 flange turbo. 76mm Inducer, .96 A/R, 4" discharge, 3" V-Band for the downpipe. The bad boy of the T4 world for it's time (late 00's) and predecessor to the Precision 7675 that everyone loves now. The cold side of the kit is home made from an eBay CX Racing 24x12x4 core A2A intercooler, and 3" aluminum piping that has all been bead rolled to prevent coming apart under pressure. A 60mm JGS Blowoff Valve is installed on the last pipe prior to the throttle body elbow which IS included with the raffle. The 3" downpipe and crossover to meet up with a cat-back exhaust in the factory location is also being included in the raffle. This is a front to back, hot to cold, COMPLETE turbo kit.
The kit was designed to fit around an aftermarket K-Member and Canton or Milodon 6QT large sum pan though Jon informed me that if it clears those then it should easily fit on a stock pan and k-member car. It was in and running so we KNOW it fits.
Depending on your motor setup, expect some real power. Last time on the dyno with my old motor setup in the middle of summer, at 14 PSI it made right at 700 RWHP and 645 TQ on a mustang dyno. Couldn't get the boost higher (needed to redo how the wastegate was being controlled) or it would have done a lot more on more boost. Turbo should easily support over 850 RWHP, and power comes on HARD at about 3000-3500 RPM.
The kit has about 1500 or so miles on it. No abnormal shaft play on the turbo (journal bearing so some will always be present), but the pipes have surface rust, and the flex pipe kissed the ground and has some of the SS mesh torn off. NO MAJOR DAMAGE, is ready to go in and be run.
***Please note the kit is remaining for sale across several forums and venues while this raffle is coming together. At the point of taking money for tickets, if it has not been sold, all ads will be pulled and the raffle will be the sole point of sale for it.***
I reserve the right to update information and cancel the raffle proceedings at any point if the kit sells prior to taking payments for tickets.
