I definitely understand where you're coming from and it was a question out of pure curiosity. I'm not even going to mention what decision I'd make in your position, it's your life brother, not mine to live. Regardless of which way you choose to go, we're all here hoping for the best for you.

Update; infusions are helping although im so far "advanced" my body is goin through the med to fast. Ins would only approve the smallest dosage and no more often than every 8 weeks. Im lasting about 5 before total relapse. Ive been assisting the med with use of prescribed steroids but am still suffering from additional complications (a few know, but i prefer not to share).
The dr order a blood test to prove to the ins co that im using the med to fast and i need either more frequent or more dose. Only prob is...there is only one blood test avail for that...and the ins co that requires its results...wont pay for it. So i paid the $2500.oo to have the test done.
Looks like we were able to prove our point to the ins co...amd they will allow me every 5 weeks for the infusion but not an increase in dosage.
Basically what they told me is that after a few more infusions if i feel i need the dose increased to have the same test done again to prove it... yup... another 2500.
Ill do what i have to do to get better... its literally killing me anymore...
Thats all for now.

Today while having my 3 hour infusions done, i was talking to some of the other people also having the same proceedure done. One of them said he started dipping to take the edge off. The other said he got the disease just like me... as a "reward for quitting smoking... he said that he actually started smokong to help.make things normal again. Obviously not a total reversal for him... but he insists it has helped...
Quit smoking... life time of hell.... Aint that a bitch...

An article that supports the theories that the nicotene helps... or in some of our cases... the lack of it hurt us.
Its so bad, i debate smoking again, even as i approach my 3 year anniversary of being quit.
I just feel so "accomplished" having quit smoking, that i cant go back to it...
May do like the study says amd talk to my dr about seeing if the patch and the nicotene the body can get from it may help me.

It kills me to think im gonna purposely undo what im so proud of quitting, but this disease is killin me.

Well after 3 years of not smoking, and next month being the 3 year anniversary, I am going to purposely break my hard work of quitting on the NICOTINE. Angela is currently picking me up an electric cig. Some may remember the post I had up from conversations I had with other suffers during my last infusion. They both started using nicotine in different applications and found that it has made things better with the disease. One started to DIP (gross), but the other One of the two was exactly like me, he went from smoking to having been quit for 3 years before he said F IT and started smoking again. He said the fix is fairly quick within days. (not 100% but life he/they swear is better). This article explains it best, however it really pushes for SMOKE ingested nicotine... I'm def not willing to start smoking again, but the E-cig or the patch are viable options.... lets see how the next few days go....
