    Default 94 TPI gasket

Is it OK to use blue or black RTV for the gasket under the TPI plate at the throttle body? I installed one of those air foils and upon removal of the plate the gasket is no longer useable. And, Autozone doesn't even list one or have any in stock. I ordered one on Ebay but it won't arrive until Friday (Apr 3rd) and I'm impatient.

Would the RTV work in a pinch? The sun's out and the car's been covered up all winter until yesterday.

Thanks for any and all responses.

I dont see why not. just run the bead first and let it set up a bit, so its more like a sticky gasket than goo.

Thanks! I suspected as much but wanted to make sure it wasn't a definite no-no.

BTW, I won't be able to attend the Dyno Day. That is the day before Easter and I have a lot to prepare for at Church. If another one pops up I hope to make it to that. Got a few things I'm toying with since last year and want to hit the track to dial the car in a little more.

See you at some point down the road.
