    Default throttle cable slack?

    Hey all I was on my way home today and for some odd reason there seems to be a decent amount of slack in my 1996 camaro z28's throttle cable. I had to push on the pedal at least 10% in order for it to respond how it should. And I can get the exact % if that helps. And when I pull on the throttle cable it moves the pedal about a 1/2 to 1 full inch. Is there any way to correct this?
