Because it wasn't just the solenoid that changed. It was the other control components that changed with it.

I'm looking for brainstorming ideas not factory transmission interchange, I've got my trans manuals for that.

Yes year to year things changed I think we all understand some year transmissions are not compatible on stock vehicles.
24x drives a motor never mean to and it does the same for the trans.

The trans doesn't even know the difference once the noid is changed and it reads the proper ohms. The PCM tells is to open or close and it does just that. My 411 PCM can run a 4l80 4l60 ect.

I'm looking for specifics that the PCM might not do like read a lower ohm noid mentioned earlier.

Updating this thread, with my personal experience.

My 94lt1 home built trans(self tuned) has been working flawlessly with the 24x with NO modifications to the trans to make it work. Its using the same parts it did before the 24x.
Lockup is flawless, shifts like a mofo.
I have About 5 thousand miles on the swap. 15k on the trans. checked with a pressure gauge, pressure is good, fluid is still bright red and clean.

A segment swap (from 80e to 60e--Expressvan PCM) and basic trans tuning is all it took. Tuned misfire tables to allow TCC lockup due to the 3600 stall.

What issue were you having that you had to do this. I am having issues with 4th gear lock and unlock when coasting or holding a certain speed.

I had seen this issue in tunes before and researched and knew that it was going to come up with an aftermarket cam and stall.
Its a common problem ls1 tuning with an easy fix.

You cant blindly apply certain symptoms to tuning. But it sounds like you could have misfire detection turning off tcc.

    Do you have hptuners?

ASSuming you have a good basic trans tune...and your tcc tables are correct.

First thing to do is to scan tcc. (HPTUNERS) Scan it under your table primary. Scan tcc mode(IIRC) it will tell you if its being commanded off or on. Scan for on /off and scan its pwm duty cycle. Scan misfires. Then after scaning watching it will be obvious if its the culprit.
If its being commanded on when you want it to but its not locking its the most likely the misfire tables.

Under engine daig tab, there is revolution mode, in the areas that its unlocking turn the detection up or max it. Some people max all tables as a mechanical misfire is fairly obvious.

Tcc duty cycle should be set to max 99 min 98, that will make it feel like a shift, and keep slip to a min.
