New to me 94 6 speed with some issues.
Okay, I ended up trading my 94 B4C car for a 94 6 speed car. I've had to go through a few hours of different wiring issues and fix a few connections. An issue that I'm having is that the car will only start up if starting fluid is sprayed into the intake before you crank. Once it is running, it will hold idle. It is throwing an SES light, but I wont have a scanner available to me for another day or so. I"m assuming this issue would either be in the fuel pump itself or possibly the temp sensor in the water pump? The guy I got the car from had just recently put a junkyard motor in it, so I'm not sure of the conditions of any of said parts. Also the SES light didn't kick on until about 30-45 seconds of running. Any ideas?

well, you can check your fuel pump by putting a gauge on it then turning the key. You should get 43.5psi and it should hold relatively steady for a little while... the pressure should not bleed off quick. The temp sensor in the water pump could also be bad but the car would be running so rich that you could smell gas

Well at the moment its open y pipe and the fuel smells somewhat old too. I'm gonna get a gauge on it here in the next few days. I also am on the hunt for a clutch master cylinder cap and gasket. The previous owner used what looks like a weed eater gas cap on it and it doesn't even thread on halfway close. It even shows the gas pump on top of the cap so it was for sure a fuel cap in its prior life. lol
