    Default cam dowel pin question

Hey, I'm swapping the cam in my engine tonight and I pulled the old comp 304 out and its the short pin, the new LE cam (lunati core) has the long pin. Do I grind it down or will it slide in? I tried pushing it in with my hands and it didn't move so if it does indeed slide in then it'll take a dead blow. Thanks in advanced...

I would contact LE. I believe that the opti changed and that is why the pin length changed, between vented and non vented. I think the short pin is non vented.
Night train. I believe the pin has to be changed.

Hope this helps. I hope to it your swap goes smooth.

Cut it to the length of the short one with a dremel. No big deal. Had to do it to the bullet le cam and my hotcam. It's because of the vented opti change
