Poly shock bushings
I found a while back on an autocross site that people swap out the rubber bushings for polyurethane. They had mixed reviews tho, some said it made the car handle better but others said they made the ride too rough and hurt their handling.
Just wondering if anyone here had tried them?

Im assuming you are doing this on your GMC. Polly is the best way to go on suspension areas that dont need to articulate its angle like the front end.
Your a leaf spring rear so your a little limited. But I would go poly there also. For fars like F-Bodies I would recommend rod or roto ends to allow bind free movement.
Use the proper grease. Poly needs a different grease from rubber.94 Trans am. Built 383/T56(437/409) Wilwoods, tubular suspension, QA1/BMR, Watts Link. Stripped down and set to kill!
Twin Tubo build underway. !GOING AFTER LTX STANDING MILE RECORD!

Ya. I know a lot of people complain about the squeak from the control arms, and I've never had issues with them on my leaf spring bushings, but I've never tried them in the shocks. They don't really move a whole lot I didn't think? Mainly just in and out with a slight twist?
They're about $30 a set and didn't wanna waste the money and time pressing them out if I wasn't going to notice a difference

I just got a Polygraphite front end kit for Big red, I am looking forward to seeing how it works out. Pics and a review to follow but it looks like a quality lit except for the ball joints that look somewhat generic so we shall see.
Cost me $299.00 with free shipping from PST.comIf you don't stand behind our MIlitary then feel free to stand in front of them.<---- This is my oldest son (PROUD DAD HERE) Mike (just plain mad) Madman337 1993 Camaro Z/28 A4 all stock other than a muffler and LCAs @292K+ miles. 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche. 1970 Pontiac Firebird. 1972 Camaro, 1994 Corvette, 17 Fusion Sport AWD V6 Twin Turbo

Yeah I started calling the car that after the radiator blew and the temp gauge stayed pegged for about 2 miles before I could get out of rush hour traffic. Dropped in a new radiator and she is back to running just fine although I know overheating it like that did not do it any favors but I was stuck and afraid if I shut it off then it wouldnt restart and somebody stupid would crash in to it and besides I allready have another complete drive train ready to go in.

What I did before was I got a bunch of parts together and just did everything at one time to my old 5 liter but beings that Big red is my DD I am having to replace things as I go to keep her running.
I also have the mindset of "if I have to replace it it needs to be an upgraded part" because I hate doing things over and over again, must be the former technician in me that hates comebacks LOLIf you don't stand behind our MIlitary then feel free to stand in front of them.<---- This is my oldest son (PROUD DAD HERE) Mike (just plain mad) Madman337 1993 Camaro Z/28 A4 all stock other than a muffler and LCAs @292K+ miles. 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche. 1970 Pontiac Firebird. 1972 Camaro, 1994 Corvette, 17 Fusion Sport AWD V6 Twin Turbo
