Does any one else have an endless exhaust leak at the ball and socket joint?
This design drives me absolutely crazy! Every exhaust I have ever had on this car has leaked at this spot and I even had the same problem on my last truck that used the same stupid ball and socket design.
For those not sure what I am talking about its the connection at the back of the cat (single cat cars) that connects to the cat-back.
Does any one have a resolution for this or am I just crazy?93 Trans Am. M29 6 speed & Spec Stage 3+. AS&M Headers & Corsa exhaust. OEM WS6 Ram Air. Bilstein Shocks & Eibach Pro Kit. Strange 12 Bolt w/ 3.73s. OEM C6 Brakes and a ton of suspension mods...

Are you talking about the TA? If so, call chris that did your TBSS (if you liked his work), he can make it right for you... None of my stuff has exhaust leaks anymore.

Man, I was thinking about posting up about mine! I have an ORY and it leaks where it meets the I pipe. I was thinking about cutting out the flange joint and welding in a V-Band type set up.

My thoughts exactly. I was hoping some one else had some sort of solution for this!
Its not Funny!
The funny part is I literally had the same exact leak issue with the same exact sort of exhaust joint on my truck. I would adjust it and it would be fine for a few weeks and then I would notice it again. It got quite old. Also, my buddy just got a '14 5.0 and put new rear cans on it. They use the same sort of ball and socket joint... and guess what.. hes having leak issue with his too.93 Trans Am. M29 6 speed & Spec Stage 3+. AS&M Headers & Corsa exhaust. OEM WS6 Ram Air. I've had issues with the BBk headers on my z28 and that same spot. This is the first car I've had that fight with. They just won't stop leaking.
