Yup, looks that way. Conservative. Lean. Big flat spot in one part of it lol. I am ordering the cable as we speak, and I sent an email to another elm327 cable manufacturer that says theirs is open source, and can be used with the faster processing data logging software. @JCZNova both cables listed will not work with the sae 1850 vpw that the 96 gm uses. its the way the chip is soldered together and communicates thru the port. i found one that is supposed to work, with an elm 327 chip installed, should be here by sunday (amazon prime whoop whoop drones) and then we will give it a shot
