Hello
Hello everyone, my name is Cory or as my user name MurderZ. I live in Ohio and drive a 1996 Z/28. as implied with the name My car is black, with redone black interior, and with wheels that used to be plasti dipped flat black. My car just turned over 98,000 miles not sure how I feel about that, and I run up at Kil Kare Dragway every few test and tune nights. Best pass I have had so far is a 14.16 on worn street tires, and I hope to be in the 13 second range soon.

Welcome Cory! Black on black, I like it. I wouldn't feel too concerned about the mileage. Just tighten up on your maintenance, a few things to keep an eye on are oil pressure (oil pump pickup tube has a tendency to, how do I say this without scaring you?....fall off) you should also be careful to keep the opti dry. If you want to be proactive check out the "long live the opti" thread on the opti fresh air system. There is a service manual procedure to make sure the system is operating as designed. Aside from that I think you'll be fine. Great looking car and again, welcome!

Well the thing i find funny, is my traction, I raced a friend of mine's with a mustang gt, he was on street tires, as was I, and I beat him by a door length, when he swaps to drag radials, he runs a consistent 13.4, I would get radials but from what I have heard and read on various sites, the 10 bolt isn't very good to run radials on.

If you have an automatic transmission there is no need to fear running on drag radials. To make your car dramatically quicker, get a set of DRs, a set of long tube headers and off-road y-pipe, 3.73 gears, a 2800 PI Vigilante Converter, and a tune. 12.7 to 13.0 at 105 or so all day long in decent air. 98k miles is nothing to worry about on these motors. I have 110k and a run a 400+rwhp head/cam setup spinning to 6600 rpm.
