Bad news Sunday
Had a bad track outing the last test and tune and just now getting to see how bad I hurt the Monte. Got up early this morning and went to the shop and took it apart to find this. I expected the head gasket went after a couple significant nitrous backfires lead to a misfire. I was hoping that was the only damage but it doesn't look like I am that lucky.

yikes! i had one yesterday, thought i heard parts scatter under the car then it seemed sluggish, then i slowed down and did a pull on motor and it pulled fine so i guess it's still happy lol.

Figures something like this would happen so close to the Shootout, I don't think we would know how to act if we didn't have to scramble to get stuff together last minute.
