    Default Need help with nitrous

So as my build is coming along....I'm on the breaking point of throwing the nitrous on it now....my question is, I've heard good things about the digital 6 box for adjusting timing. My question is, is that still used with the opti? And if so, how hard is it to wire up. And as far as injectors go, I have LE2 heads and intake with a big cam and 355. Should I go 36 or a 42lb injector?

Digital six works with opti. .. just need the harness from the coil. .. get some 30s.
. They will plenty for your build. ..
But new ones and have them flow matched

What kind of NA HP are you estimating (at the flywheel)? My rule-of-thumb is multiply the NA flywheel HP by 0.070 to get a reasonable, minimum injector size. This assumes you have a moderately efficient tune running 0.476 #/HR/HP BSFC, and don't want to exceed 85% duty cycle on the injectors.

    For example, 450 flywheel HP x 0.070 = 31.5 #/HR

Digital six has timing retard. .. 2 step and window switch. ... that's pretty much everything. .. if you are looking to progress the shot you will to have to add a progressive. ... depends on how much you want to spray. .. If your just looking for 100 to 150 I wouldn't even bother with a progressive unless you have NO suspension in the car

I don't have any suspension. Probably next year it will get coil overs. But I do have SFC's

Digital 6 does not have a window switch...that is the Mallory 685

before buying an ignition/box retard first thing is too look at how much timing you are going to need to pull. How much nitrous are you looking to run...now and in the future?

I'd like to hit it with a 150 and see how it reacts. I might put a 200. But no bigger

Digital 6 will be fine there...it can only pull up to 9.9 degrees.

If you want to get a progressive, as far as I'm concerned there are only 3 options.

Leash Electronics - Randy Westmoreland built these in his garage and has been scaling up since then. They are STUPID SIMPLE, easy to use, easy to program. No hooking it up to a computer or anything.

Edelbrock - NOS Launcher, also stupid simple and I've seen some retarded fast cars run this. I saw an old Jerry Haas Pro Stock Truck with a 630+cu in BBC and a ton of nitrous kick the shit out of everyone at a big race with one.

NLR - Expensive but the best.
