Cam and ported stocker heads. #'s????
New to the thread but I am porting my stock heads soon (dad works at a machine shop). Already have the car cammed but not sure how much more hp i can stretch out of the stock bottom end with porting the stock heads. Its already pushing 360/360 rwhp/rwtq. This is a 6 speed car with 4.10 gears out back, and long tubes with dumps at the rear axles to boot.

If the head porter knows what he is doing, the cam is well matched and the tune is good, a stock bottom-end M6 car can easily make somewhere in the range of 400-430rwhp.
That said, most home-port jobs fall well short of that range for one or more reasons.Cayenne Red Metallic 1997 Z28 M6

LE2 heads/cam/intake stock bottom end thru an auto was 360 whp with a bad tune and only run to 5200, so feasibly 400-415 whp for an m6. Like was said above, they gotta know what they are doing

Sounds like a good range to me. The shop im gettting it done at already put the biggest streetable cam they would advise to be put in stock bottom end car. Custom ground comp cam. I would be happy with anywhere close to 400. Car spins up to 6400 rpm haha starts to stall out anywhere below 1500 rpm.
