    Default jet chip/module?

While reinstalling my pcm I noticed a black box that connects straight off the pcm, came with the car, it says JET on it and other than that I know nothing about it... I've done a little searching and found jet to be a performance chip/module company among other things. Anyone know what that black box is/does? Will it affect the tune I just got on the pcm specific to my new engine specs?

its a type of tuner. if i remember it a piggyback system where it doesnt alter the computer, but changes the parameters going into and out of the computer.
did the person who tuned your car do any datalogging and then tweak the tune? or was it a mail order where you just tell them what you got?
if its the later you should be fine removing it. if it was dyno tuned, or datalogged and tuned you might want to contact the tuner.

^ this. If it was a basic mail order based off of info you did on the car, you don't want to run it. Those piggyback systems are the equivalent of the resistor mods that were popular a while back that trick the pcm into thinking the car has a different iat or ect to lean out the air and fuel or adjust spark.

Yes. Unless you provided him with some data logs of your current setup and he made adjustments from there
