Default 24x swap, coil mount locations.

I'm in the midst of knocking out the EFI 24x conversion. I'm trying to get ideas on where to mount the coils. Obviously most have mounted them on the valve covers but if you've ever seen my engine bay...that's not exactly my style. I remember seeing someone fabricate a mount to fixture them down beside the oil pan. Any long term hazards with that setup? Heat? Any first hand experiences?

Any pictures would be appreciated as well.

I have them under the cowl but would not recommend that location. Pain in the ass.

Hate working on cars with coil packs on valve covers, so, they get thrown down low.

Agreed, they get all sorts of in the way when you have to 2 & 4 from the top. If I could and cared, more so cared than anything, I would hide them under the cowl.
