starting issue really need help
Hello everyone I have a 1994 Camaro z28 that will not start it cranks very strong and has good fuel pressure but it seems to not be sparking. And I'm not sure why I was just driving down the road and it popped like a back fire and stalled out. Haven't got it to fire since. I've switched out the optispark and coil and ign. Switch. Could it possibly be the module on the coil? I just have no idea. I can answer any questions you have and could take a video if need be. Thanks..... alot, dakota.
Also I've been a member here for quite a while I just really had no time for my car but my schedule has changed up some and I'm ready to get into the swing of things again and be much more active around the forumn.

Did you scan if for codes? The module above the coil is the ignition control module (ICM). It could be the cause, and would set a code. Check for spark by holding the coil wire near a ground. If you have spark at the coil, check a couple plug wires the same way.

I didn't scan it. I will try to locate a scanner soon. Since I can't exactly drive it to a dealer. I'm tinking around with it right now. Waiting for someone to come home to crank it for me to check the spark again. I haven't checked it since I put the new coil in. Will the car still crank If there is a vats issue?

Update. There is no spark. Not even trying to spark. After I crank it I hear the injectors clicking like two clicks Then a second pause then two clicks. And does that till I turn the key off.

Most parts stores should be able to test the module. I know Advance auto can, thats where I tested mine. But then again, mine tested good on the machine but ended up being bad.

My bad ICM was giving me the 41 code. Check out the tests for it on http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#opti_test before you buy the $83 ICM though.

Another update. So I'm messing with random stuff trying to find a problem with a tester light and what not when my dad asks if I tried to shake the harness that goes into the fuse panel in the engine bay..... well of course not. So he makes me crank it and he wiggles the harness. Car Fired Right up. Then died about ten seconds later. So I cranked again and he wiggled the harness and we got it started again. And now it stays running so I'm about to tear into that little box here in a couple days. Any suggestions as to which wires or connections it could be? He called it the old harness shake and said mechanics he knows do it all the time. I would of never guessed.

There are two fuses in that box for the injectors. You can pull the inside part where the fuses are, out of the case and flip it over. I had a broken wire under their for my fans.
