It's a 94. Got the drivers side window motor done tonigh...I'm getting fairly good at these...only 3 cussing spells this time. Also, got distracted and dived into the stereo wiring. Pervious owners had BestBuy install speakers. Car is a factory 10 speaker system and they cut the rear deck wires to power the sails. I re-ran all the wires and made the connections for the rears to work. Only problem was the wires to the sails were dead...turns out the factory amp turn on is in a differnt location than the standard GM harness. I found the wire and depinned the stock harness and connected everything back up. Sound is redicoulous now with everything working. Cant wait to get a good set of speakers in the hatch and real subs in the sails. Tomorrow, Ill get the passenger side done and maybe look into slapping the cat on the car for inspection on monday.

I haven't forgotten, it'll be a bit. Finally enjoying the sweet sound of the LT1...plus I'll be ditching the horrible exhaust shop muffler for a Borla.

So last night it was finally dry enough for me to get it out side (still no pics, GF had dinner plans as soon as I got home). Fired it up and took it down the road...felt pretty good, did a small pull from a stop sign. This thing has alot more torque than my LS and would eat it alive. Pulled back in the driveway and she stumbled and died. Tried to restart and it flashed codes 16,36,41,42,51 w/ no start. Waited a min and fired right up. Replaced the Opti harness with a brand new one I got with my replacement opti but I had to de-pin the harness plug to the correct one. Ran but still did the same thing. My thoughts was the Opti due to the resolution codes. Found a listing of FSM codes diagnostic pages and check them all. 16/36 were self explanatory as Opti codes. 41/42 were Electronic Spark Timing codes. One saying the signal was grounded the other saying it was missing or cut..Weird, cant be both. The last code was 51 for the Prom/Eprom Check Sum failure..The Replace the PCM code. Did find a note at the bottom of the code 16 page stating that if both 41/42 and 16 set to replace the PCM. I figured this in conjunction to the 51 code that it safe to say I have a PCM issue. Firebird_1995 is coming through with a socketed PCM...I also just want to say thanks again to Shaun for listening to me go round in circles on this car.
