    Default Front crankshaft seal replacement

DSCN1443.JPGWell the engine started to leak after 3 pulls on the dyno & I finally isolated the source. I just wonder if it is necessary to pull the cover to replace just the seal??

No its not necessary but the cover needs to be lined up correctly or it will leak again I honed out an old hub so it just slides on the crank to aline the cover and bolt it on then remove it and put my hub back on they make alignment tools to make it easy but they are expensive hope this helps
