Thanks guys for the compliments! I wasn't expecting that kind of speed out of the car which is why I went with the 27" tire. I think with the 28" tire and some cool fall air (which is the best time of the year to get low a low DA here) the car might drop another 1-1.5 tenths and pick up another MPH.
MI6TA, I still have the other rims (OE wheels C5 deep dish style) that I run on the street. I was just having a hell of a time at the track getting a 60ft and traction so I got a set of drag wheels for it as well.
Flyinz, I like the 24x conversion so far. The two main reasons I decided to run it was there are few LT1 tuners in the area that could dyno tune the car and I wanted to be able to spin the engine above 7000 for any future changes. I would like to go with a solid roller cam in the future but we will see about that. And at the time of the engine build most of my ignition parts had 100K miles on them and needed replaced.
I think a set of 28" tires will be helpful for sure, just sucks I purchased these and only have about 15 passes on them. Any one looking or a set of 10" X 27" Hoosier QTPs for a 15 inch wheel? LOL!
Will a 28" tire fit without rubbing? I've already did the BFH mod and trimmed the bum stops for my street wheels.97 Trans Am M6

The 28's should fit just fine, if you already did the BFH mod.

Cool, it looks like the 28's would fit but just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing anything.
They are 17" X 9.5" in the front and 18" X 10.5" in the rear. At the time of the purchase they were only offered in 17/18 staggered sizes but now are available with 18's in the front as well.97 Trans Am M6
