Default Tach not working please help!!!!!

Hey guys so I own a 93 camaro z28 and I always hated the 93 yellow gauges. So I bought a 94 tach off ebay looks great. The problem
I'm having is that my rpm gauge isn't working. I removed the tach filter but still won't go pass 3000 rpm
And also when I install the 94 tach my car sounds a little weird. But when I plug the old ugly yellow one in everything works fine. So what do I have to do to get this thing to work please help me!!

I swear I just went over this in another thread very recently I think, lol. If you swap a 94-97 cluster into a 93, you HAVE to use an aftermarket ignition box or the tach won't work.
