I dont use UPS for anything if i can help it. FedEx or USPS mostly. But with big and or heavy items greyhound can be pretty reasonable.

for what its worth, I had my transmission shipped via UPS and they dropped the shipping container in the middle of my street spilling out packing peanuts all over my neighborhood. It also cracked the crossmember that came with the trans as well as the tail housing. UPS refused to cover it because "the item weighted more then our allowable shipping weight and they should not have accepted the shipment in the first place"
