Of all my cars the SS is the nicest to drive. It's just kind of big. I like the Malibu size. It presently has a 400 sbc, 2.41s for economy, and a 3 speed with a 3.5:1 first gear. It runs the quarter in 14.6 and you only have to use two gears. It's kind of like a manual trans Powerglide with an overdrive. Unfortunately, it still only gets 10 mpg so an LT1 driveline would make it easier to live with and that is the next project.2 SS's background1.jpg
I'm not sure about the acronym FRC, but if you mean the injector covers they are Corvette, sanded, epoxy primed and filled and painted.
Our plant usually has a car show in August for GM powered only cars. They started the show in 2002 when we were making engines for the Camaros built in Quebec. Then we built Corvette motors, SSR, GTO and CTS-V engines.

The last few years they had a chassis dyno there at the show. My son was on the car show committee in '08 and things were slow on the Dyno so he put the Pontiac up.
They need to update the plant website info for the new Gen V's. The website guy said he was looking of the latest stuff.

I was just curious... what is keeping you so attracted to the LTX?
Im not complaining, its just that most people who do swaps do LS stuff.... we are a minority (LTX enthusiasts).

It started with the Impala SS #1. I gave my son the 62 Pontiac and it had the 400 sbc in it at the time. He couldn't afford the gas to drive it and he bought an Impala SS driveline #2, wheels and tires for $1400. That was my first swap into the Pontiac for power and fuel economy.
One of the guys in a B body forum bought a truckload of Gen II engines replaced under warranty a number of years ago and flipped them for rebuilders. We bought two long blocks with spun bearings.#3, #4 Then I bought a '94 Caprice L99 as a winter car.#5 One of the B body guys had a Caprice with a Corvette crate engine converted to TBI and replaced it with an LT1.#6 I bought the Vette engine with a Victor Jr. for $100. So I ended up with all of these LT1's. They bolt in to old Chev's easier than LS engines and make enough power for what I am looking for. Some day maybe I'll get into something newer.'95 Vette.jpg
