Exhaust ports do not appear to be altered. Still debating on taking the top end apart. Motor ran really strong when I drove it, at this point I may just focus on any area that is not sealed well and install.

Did not realize that these heads came from the factory with screw in studs, good info, thanks. Did they come with factory guide plates as well?

No guideplates, factory top end is self-align.
I'd at least check for a cast cam because that would change some things. Might need proper valve springs or tune...1994 Z28 383ci - Jake's 4L80 - Moser 9" [LE2 heads and LE cam - 121mph @5500DA]

That sounds like good advice, not being a motor person but not a complete novice, how is the best way to confirm this?

Here is a billet vs cast cam picture. Notice the cast is dark and textured between the lobes and journals:

Next is a factory LT1 cam, notice the multiple facet core between the lobes and journals:

That should be enough to tell the difference. You should be able to peek in from somewhere to see the cam, if not just pull the oil pan. If it looks aftermarket I'd pull the cam and figure out what you have. Most cams are marked on the rear.1994 Z28 383ci - Jake's 4L80 - Moser 9" [LE2 heads and LE cam - 121mph @5500DA]

I did just discover that I have 1.6 rocker arms, would they have been used with a stock cam?

Never, are they stamped 1.6? What about "CC" for comp cams. I'm wondering if those springs are factory, if so you should upgrade... Hopefully the valves haven't kissed any pistons.

I never cared for roller tip rockers, but regardless on whether you keep them or not those springs need changed if they are stock. If you're going that far, I'd check the cam and compression and upgrade while it's out and easy.
