I can't remember the brand of the one I actually bought but it wasn't anywhere near 12 bucks. I paid over 40+ for it about 2yrs ago and only put a few miles on it before.my engine went.

The ones I have are AC Delcos. I can guarantee ac delco versions cannot be bought for $12

I know that the one at autozone is still available. Not as good as the delco ones. But do work
