Uhaul insurance
Long story short I have a friend that works for uhaul. Saw her today she shows me this... it is a 7500 lb receiver. Said the lady(enough said) all but admitted to texting and driving "she looked down for just a second" hit black ice and looked out the passenger window and saw the trailer which was one of the medium pull behind types. Guess she totalled the truck and this was jammed in the trailer tongue. Its more insane in person but just wow. I think from now on I'm going to buy the insurance if leaving town with a uhaul trailer. Said damage to the trailer is 1k+ and the woman has to cover it all.

Orrr just don't use crappy Uhaul equipment.
I always laugh when I read how much Uhaul thinks their trailers are worth, you can get two very good quality light trailers for what they think theirs is worth.Correlation does not imply causation.

Or, have better insurance. If it's hooked up to my truck, it's insured.

THat is what I was gonna ask. Here in PA, as a driver with insurance, you are covered under your own insurance while driving other persons or rented equipt. I always feel like Im being wined and dined before they ask me WOULD YOU LIKE TO BUY THE INSURANCE? NO!!! I HAVE INSURANCE.
