I've had the same UPS guy for almost 10 years. He know me and where to look for me. I've had him drop a package off to me at my firehouse cause he saw my Jeep there. Fed-ex tossed a package at my feet because my (at the time) 8 month old lab puppy was placing next to me waging his tail. Never made eye contact or said a word just tossed and ran down the driveway.

I always have said if I was a thief I would absolutely love the day new iPhones ship - you know that FedEx is driving around delivering a ton of them so you could just follow around and steal 'em all right off their door step.

That said - it's one of the things I absolutely hate about my house. Nowhere to hide stuff - front of my house is "flat" across and the porch doesn't have any coves. I had a delivery person take a decent sized box (my short throw shifter for the 5th gen) and lay the welcome mat up against it to hide it. It was clearly obvious that there was something under it, but hey I guess the effort was there... Also had a pillow delivered the other day and the delivery person (I don't know if it was UPS or FedEx) "hid" it behind the trash can so it looked like an empty box to be thrown out.

My UPS guy is awesome. He will move flower pots on the fornt porch for small packages and bring the trash cans from the side of the house to hide larger ones by the garage doors. I've called UPS and left a message complementing his extra effort.

Just a seasonal BUMP, because I just found my delivery people to be guilty of setting me up for a loss.

Just want to give u all a heads up when shipping or receiving packages. Whether ups...fed ex...usps...

Recent trends since this past holiday season has shown rising package theft right from the front door of destination spots. Including urs truley.

Two packages before x-mas & 1 of personal schwag.

Actors have been stalking delivery vehicles and taking packages after they have been delivered. ESPECIALLY at familiar residences where actors know the coming and goings of the residents.

In the twp where I work...they have even begun switching packages. A person walks ul with an empty package and does a swap with the full package they are stealing to appear to be correcting a delivery "mistake" by the delivery company.

Please pay attention to tracking....require signature confirmation..and insure packages.
