Power level? I'd recommend the umi drag sway bar and a set of 275 mt pro's and go from there. Umi has a full line of suspension parts that will get the power to the ground. Best part is they have a great Thanksgiving day sale coming up.

High Hp guys seem to prefer a true slick over a radial or "street" type tires.

Shocks tend to fall in line with a budget. I'm still on factory struts and shocks with drag springs.

Run a et drag for a high hp six.speed. will a radial work, yes but your really gonna have.to get your suspension working. A et.drag.will.be much forgiving.

Dumb question, but whats the advantage to running a manual steering rack? I've been looking at Madman's rack that he's got.

Are you still running the full length torque arm? depending on your power level, you may want to look into our "trak pak" arm. but that is usually for more aggressive setups and tends to work better with radials. for a 6 speed car with moderate power you may want to stay with the full length arm with a relocation crossmember to get the t/a mount off of the tailshaft, and stick with a bias ply tire as mentioned above. if you are staying with the full length arm, you may also want to look into LCA relocation brackets. if you go short arm, don't use the relo brackets. If you have anymore questions give us a call and I can help you out

Well if you're running a stock rack with power.steering, there's.the weight reduction. But also lock to lock the manual racks have another couple rotations in the steering wheel (it has a high gear reduction).

Is the madman one a flaming river?

You can also send your rack out to be converted to manual, it's much cheaper and you keep the close ratio steering.

That sounds surprisingly close to the setup George Baxter was running 10 years ago on his low 8-second (1.2x 60-ft) 30th SS convertible. Main differences were - 1) full-length Spohn TA without height adjustment; 2) QA1 single-adjustables in the rear; 3) stock rear springs from my Formula coupe; 4) panhard rod had been lowered about 4" from the stock position. Steve Spohn did that and I don't know why.
