    Default 4l80e conversion price

I am wonder how much money you guys are putting into your budget 4l80e builds. Trying to see which route I want to go with my tranny. I want this to be my last time for awhile spending money on a tranny. I got screwed on my present 4l60e tranny. So I go better built 4l60e or just go with and 4l80e. I want it to handle at least 700hp

Handle 700hp reliably and not be a glass toy like a 60e means at least a stage 2 80e build, which is prob a little over 2k...

If you opt for having a 4L60E built to handle the 700 HP, give me a call. http://cahallperformancetrans.com/. Sorry, I can't give you an accurate answer on your swap question. We stopped putting 4L80Es in F-Bodys over 15 years ago after numerous customer complaints when their cars slowed down too much. There are several others on here that have done the swap though. We seen ATLEAST a 2/10 loss in quarter mile times with no other changes and a 50 RWHP loss through an '80E. While many still cuss the 4L60E, it's usually traced back to the fact that they were built incorrectly.
