5 days and counting till I'm finally back in my bird where I belong. I don't know how some of you guys can go months at a time without your car running, I'm having withdrawals just after 1 month lol.

Clutch is slipping like a bitch and pedal is mushy as hell, so it's been parked for the past month while I've been buying all the stuff needed for my clutch swap. Yesterday just finished making the final purchases with Gail for the last pieces on my list, so this weekend should be a go for install. Been driving the beater car which was alright for a while, but now I'm really bored with it and miss being able to cut a corner at 30 mph lol.

Yeah, unfortunately it's beyond where I'm comfortable driving it daily (don't wanna get stuck halfway home). Should have enough left in it for one last drive to Jack Junkies as long as I keep it below 2500 RPMs. Jack Junkies is a local rent-a-lift and DIY place. Real nice facility for anyone in the DFW area, went and checked it out this past Saturday. Very clean shop, plenty of lift bays to rent (2-post and 4-post, even a motorcycle lift), and just about any tool you could need (spring compressor, bearing press, transmission jack, floorjacks, air tool hookups, fluid pans and containers, lots of hand tools, etc.). Very reasonable prices, too. They also have techs walking around in case you need any guidance in what you're doing.
But I've got a nice little pile of parts going and gonna have my dad help me with the install this weekend to knock it out. Spec 3+ clutch kit (disk, PP, TOB, pilot bushing, alignment tool), new GM flywheel, ARP flywheel bolts, rear main seal (since I'm gonna be back there anyway), rear transmission seal (same excuse), tranny fluid for flush and swap, diff. fluid and additive for flush and swap, and diff. cover gasket. Basically maintenance and practically the entire driveline lol. Oughta drive beautifully after this.96 Trans Am WS6 LT1 M6: 10/7/11 - current: 245.7 RWHP / 266.2 RWTQ - 14.462s @ 98.28 MPH

Maybe if you get a chance...do a DIY write up since Im assuming this is a first time doing a clutch for you. Its def a dif perspective from someone doing it for the first time and learning....than when we have done several before...or even the guys that do it for a living.

Yeah, definitely is a different perspective. You're right, this is my first time doing a clutch (hell, this is my first manual car and learned to drive a stick in this car LOL). I'll do the best I can, sometimes it's hard to snap pics of everything along the way when working with my dad cuz he's impatient and just likes to get shit done. I'm up for writing a clutch swap for newbs guide though.

So , today I saw one of the cashiers in the cafe counting change from a change purse... i asked her is she needed some money, and she said no, she likes to bring change in from home to help kids out...
Here is how it works...kids bring in money or checks, and they get an account. When they buy lunch the money gets deducted. When they hit 0 for whatever reason, they are allowed to go $10.00 into the negative (since obviously the school will not deny them food), however once they are over -$10.00 they are limited to PBJ, and although not bad.... she feels bad that kids suffer so she brings in change to try to bump them within the -10 bucks...so they can continue getting the "good food."
Well, i thought that was awesome , and so I asked her if we could start a fake account for "STUDENT" or something like that, and she said yes. So I ran back to my office, and grabbed some loot, and now there is an account for kids that for whatever reason (most probably well beyond their control) to have a nice warm lunch of the GOOD food.....
Thats all.
