Don't have carfax but I can tell you the driveshafts use flex discs instead of u joints. Very common to go out and make sure they are replaced with a Gm disc or a poly. The dormans/aftermarket are interior.

    it's an 03 v-6 m6 speed...
heres his take.....So I picked up my first nice car, 03 CTS 5M, yesterday. Couple of things didn't make themselves apparent on the test drive.. So I started searching the forum.

Driveline shutter, I'm assuming this is due to some bad tranny and diff mounts. I'm a driveway mechanic so anything that isn't incredibly difficult I can handle.

Muted clunk/thud over bumps... Strut mounts?

Here's the one that worries me... Heavy acceleration in 1st gear, more so while turning, hi frequency vibration and grinding, like a driveshaft is touching some structure. I'm hoping this is also due to the possibly bad diff bushings.

What's the experts take on this?

I have yet to get the time to throw it on jackstands. Probably this Sunday though.
