Ive pulled my intake atleast 5 times. Ive never had a problem with Ultra Black. Be sure to put some under the intake gasket tab at the front and back of the head and then again ontop. and be sure to let it get alittle tacky before putting the intake back on. When it is back on, put in the bots but do not tighten them. Screw them in to make sure the intake is seated, and then leave it for afew hours then lock it up. That way you give the silicone chance to cure and create a gasket.

Are u using the gaskets on the front and rear or just the sealant?
There are no gaskets on the front and back walls.
When you install the intake, use dowels in the bolt holes on one side, to prevent the manifold from shifting as it goes down on the RTV. I've seen people wait 24 hours before restart.
Has anyone tried dimpling the top of the block walls and the bottom of the manifold? I've seen people recommend that, but have never seen anyone post the results.SOLD - GONE TO A (VERY) GOOD HOME ! - 94 Formula A3+1: 381ci forged stroker - Callies Stealth, Oliver 5.85 billet rods, BME nitrous pistons / CNC LT4 heads / CC solid roller / TH400+GearVendors OD / 4.11 Strange 12-bolt / 300-shot N2O / Spohn Suspension / roll bar / MoTeC M48 Pro engine management system /a few other odds 'n ends.

My mistake... I thought when we put mine back together last time the intake gasket kit came with two longs and two shorts... I dont use the shorts either way.... Just sealant.

I also heard about taking a punch and creating "dimples" in the "china wall" along the back of the block and intake manifold to give the RTV a little bit more "bite" into the block when it seals.
