    Default LS7 lifter valve lash

Another member(HellTeeOne) and I are knee deep in an Advanced Induction HCI install on his 97 Z. How far past zero lash should LS7 lifters be adjusted( ie 1/4 turn, 1/2 turn, etc)? I'm more familiar with comp R's in LT1 applications. Thanks for the help!

I have used 1/4 turn in the past with great results.

Thanks for the reply. Any issues with chatter at 1/4 turn past zero?

Nope, like I said, 1/4 TPZL is what I like to use. No problems.

I use 1/4 turn with poly locks zero problems.

I am currently having a disastrous situation with GMPP 1.6 rockers and LS7 lifters trying to get the adjusted correctly.

I have tried everything from 1/4 past to 3 turns past and it makes no difference.

Most of my are set at 1/2 past and seem to be pretty good but there are 3 or 4 that just will not adjust correctly. I dont think its a lifter issue though.

When you say they won't adjust correctly what do you mean? Are you sure you are on the base circle of the cam when adjusting?

For future reference I went 1/4 turn and the engine seems happy. The rockers are a little loud on initial cold startup but only for a few seconds until the lifters "pump up", which is typical for roller rockers. Thanks for the help guys!
