There will always be horror stories about all.
Hell i had an msd... It was blamed for a high rpm mis... SWitched to dyna...still had it. it was a tuning issue.
Now my dynas failed back to back in the beginning...but bob would send me out another one everytime there was a prob... To the point inhad nearly 2g worth of his optis.
And if they are still doin it...ligetime guarantee.
But do some research...even the dynas have horror stories.

Mine was spu to 6500 during all of its dyno tuning.
But again...the thing is...ANYONE of them can fail.... TO ME...whats important is, how will the company come thru when it does.
I know msd charged me 112 to rebuild that one before insold it to another member and it worked great dmfor him right up until he sold his ta.

That reminds me... If u go with the dyna...dont loctite the screws... The case is sealed nicely...u dont wanna mess it up.
Dyna also advises this is not required (whether thats cocky...or because its already done, i dont remember)

The Mez and CSR pumps both use the same motor so longevity between the two is a non-issue. But the CSR is much smaller than the Mez - takes up less space in the engine bay since the motor is seated partly inside the water pump housing. That requires very minor trimming inside the pump which takes about 5 minutes with a die grinder or Dremel. The Mez protrudes much further and requires trimming of the fan shroud.

I took a bone stock gm delco opti with an msd cap and rotor to 7krpm on my 355 for four years and never had a failure......ran it 6 months at 7500+rpm on my 383 before the rotor flew off and destroyed the whole opti.....IMO the gm unit is the best one to go with......as for pumps my meizerre has been on mine 7 years and still going strong

No matter which opti you buy, pull it apart and make sure it has the Mitsubishi optical sensor. If not, go pull one from a junkyard. Aftermarket sensors are one of the bigger issues. I run a GM base with Mistubishi sensor and MSD cap/rotor. Also have a Meziere HD, but only because the CSR was backordered when I needed it.
