    Dunno - maybe something is wrong with my car then -- I had to shim the $@#$ out of my mini high-torque starter to get it to work. I actually used all the shims it came with and then had to add washers to make it even further shimmed. When I used stock replacement starters I had to grind the the heck out of the snout of the starter because the flexplate was hitting it. I don't know what is wrong with the geometry on my car but I used to have a "one click wonder" where it'd just click once when I would try to start it - I always thought it was the battery but come to find out it was because there was no shims.
