I just don't buy the starter story, I don't know everything but I've not heard of an LT engine needing the starter shimed on an all stock engine/trans. Car doesn't look bad but I bet the starter clicks due to the engine being locked up not for lack of proper shim, that's if the battery's any good. Check the oil, use a flashlight or sunlight and look for shavings in it on the dipstick. If it's clear clean oil it's been added and a huge red flag. I'd question the title since it sounds like it's changed a few hands in a short period of time.

Maybe take a 1/2" ratchet or breaker bar and a socket for the crank hub bolt and see if the engine turns over, that'll be good excersize for you back too!!

I wouldn't even discuss a selling price untill:

-you determine the title's clear
-the engine's not locked up

Dunno - maybe something is wrong with my car then -- I had to shim the $@#$ out of my mini high-torque starter to get it to work. I actually used all the shims it came with and then had to add washers to make it even further shimmed. When I used stock replacement starters I had to grind the the heck out of the snout of the starter because the flexplate was hitting it. I don't know what is wrong with the geometry on my car but I used to have a "one click wonder" where it'd just click once when I would try to start it - I always thought it was the battery but come to find out it was because there was no shims.
